Who We Are
Oregon's Only Truly Authentic Artisan Plaster Studio
Most decorative plaster you see today isn't the real thing. It's synthetic, mass-produced, and designed to look good in a showroom — not to last a lifetime on your walls.
Amy Stewart has spent 25 years learning the difference. Trained in Italy by the craftspeople who still use the same techniques as centuries-old Italian villas, she brings authentic lime-based mastery to every project — from a single feature wall to a full commercial build.
Based in Albany, Exquisite Plaster & Design serves homeowners, interior designers, and builders across all of Oregon.
"When I was in Italy, I realized most of what's being sold as 'Venetian plaster' in the US isn't the real thing. Authentic lime plaster behaves differently — it breathes, it cures, it lasts. Once you understand the difference, you can't go back."— Amy Stewart, Founder · Exquisite Plaster & Design
What We Do
Artisan Finishes.
Built to Last Centuries.
Every finish Amy installs is hand-applied using authentic materials and old-world technique. Not a coating. Not a paint. A living surface.
Venetian Plaster
Italian Origin · Lime & Marble Dust
The gold standard of wall finishes. Applied by hand in overlapping layers and burnished to a luminous sheen — a depth and texture no paint can replicate. Lasts centuries, resists mold, and improves air quality.
Tadelakt
Moroccan Origin · Fully Waterproof
A 2,000-year-old Moroccan lime plaster — completely seamless, naturally waterproof, and mold-resistant. The healthiest, most beautiful alternative to tile in any shower or wet area. No grout lines. Ever.
Microcement
Licensed & Certified · Oregon Exclusive
Amy is the only USA-certified microcement installer in Oregon. An ultra-thin, seamless cement coating that transforms floors, walls, and counters with a sleek modern finish. Durable, waterproof, and endlessly versatile.
Lime Paint
Natural Finish · Breathable
A natural, matte wall finish made from lime. Highly breathable and mold-resistant with beautiful, soft depth. Note: for most projects Amy recommends Venetian plaster instead — it offers greater longevity and a superior finish.
